How networks of key actors in the business sector are formed
The elites share common members of their boards of directors and key spaces within which major economic decisions are made, controlling a very high percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Since PODER was founded, we have analyzed the way in which key actors in the business sectors occupy these spaces (like the Mexican Business Council) and generate intersections between companies which can in turn give rise to conflicts of interest and information transfers.
Through strategic research and journalistic reporting, we have examined how these elites function and how they use these relationships to sit on many boards of directors at the same time, directly influencing vast amounts of capital.
